Acupuncture is a gentle and effective Eastern medical treatment based on body energy called Qi. In a healthy person, Qi flows freely through the body; when a person experiences constitutional weakness, pathogenic invasion, fatigue, environmental stress, emotional upset, irregular diet or an accident, Qi gets blocked or depleted. The acupuncturist helps normalize the body’s function, reduces symptoms, and optimizes the flow of Qi by inserting hair-thin needles at specific points along meridians in the body.
